Etymology[edit]

According to the Old Book of Tang, the Tang-dynasty official Zhang Hongjing once scornfully said to his soldiers:

「……天下無事汝輩。」 [Literary Chinese, trad.]
「……天下无事汝辈。」 [Literary Chinese, simp.]

“...... Jīn tiānxià wúshì, rǔbèi wǎn dé liǎng dàn lì gōng, shídīng zì.” [Pinyin]
